President’s Message

Well it is that time of year again when, as of July 1st, our organization sees both newer and familiar  faces take on different rolls. The Regina Beach & District Lions Club is no different and this year I am honoured to be our Club’s president.                                                                                                            As a very active and successful Lions Club, we are well into many of our fund raisers with some of the larger ones yet to come, such as the Pit Beef Supper August 2nd, 2015, Annual Fowl Supper Sat. Sept. 26th, 2015, winter Meat Draws and The Walleye Classic in June of 2016.                                                                             I want to welcome our regular, as well as our newest members to a new 2015/16 Lions Year which I am sure will be both exciting and eventful. We have a number of plans for this year as we approach Lions Clubs International’s 100th birthday in 2017.                                                                                          Our organization, Lions Clubs International, now has more than 1.4 million Lions throughout the world working daily to provide a better life for those in need, especially but not limited to, the sight impaired. Where there is a need, there is a Lion. Our motto is WE SERVE and that is reflected in what we do at the local level as well and the international level. Locally our club has been providing to the needs of our communities, and those within, since 1979. We have fun at what we do, as we keep in mind why we do it.                                                                                                                                                      For those of you who are reading our message and are not Lions please give it some consideration. We welcome you to attend a meeting or help us out at a fund raiser and see for yourself if our Lions Club meets the criteria for your humanitarian goals. ---- Contact any Lion in your community or myself.

Proud to be our Lion’s Pride Leader.                       Terry McAleese, President                                                                                                                              Regina Beach & District Lions Club, Saskatchewan
