President’s Message

Well for the Regina Beach & District Lions Club we are on the back half of our fiscal year and have just completed a successful Family Ice Fishing tournament. We had a good turnout, a lot of fun and raised some money for sports in our area. Oh yes and some fish were caught.

We have a busy season ahead of us with a Senior’s Appreciation Evening, Pancake Breakfast, Walleye Classic Fishing Tournament, Canada Day Parade, Pit Beef Dinner and Fowl Supper in the making.

The mark of a successful organization is determined by the spirit and effort put forward by its members and that sets our Club apart from other organizations. We believe ourselves to be successful and we have fun working towards that success.

As Lions Clubs International celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, we want to extend an invitation to any man or woman who would like to join an organization that prides itself on the humanitarian efforts we provide throughout the world, as well as to our own communities. We are more than 1.4 million Lions strong in 200 countries, making us the largest service organization in the world.

Membership wise we had a great year by adding new members but unfortunately losing some members as well. We continue with a membership of 40 men and women in our club’s ranks and look forward to increasing that number in the future.

I am completing my term at the end of June and plan on a new journey as District Governor beginning July 1st. I have enjoyed being club president especially working with all our members in all that we do for our communities locally as well as nationally and internationally. I look forward to turning the gavel over to our newly elected president Lion Dave Rumpel and to working with him and his new executive in the months ahead.

Where there’s a need there’s a Lion.
